‘Outgrown’ is about going through a breakup and feeling lonely and deserted.
‘Path’ is about following blindly in the footsteps of your partner without considering what you want to do yourself. It’s about realizing this and potentially being in a dilemma if both parties do not want the same things out of life.
‘Communication’ is vital to a healthy relationship both personally and professionally. Nevertheless many personalities don’t have the need nor want to communicate about their inner thoughts and feelings. The importance is finding a middle ground, where both parties are satisfied.
‘Fade’ is about being in a relationship for so long that after a while you stop noticing the little things going wrong and when you do you’re too worn out to fix them. Inevitably the relationship fades away.
‘Turn’ is about continuously seeking relationships that are bad for you. While this person knows it deep inside they are shutting it out and need a rejection in order to realize how bad this habit is.
The poem ‘Conformity’ is about acknowledging that sometimes you need alone-time, where you reflect on things. It’s about knowing that you cannot simply be in 5th gear all the time, but need to take it down a notch every once in a while to recharge.
‘Generation’ is about how technology overtakes our lives and makes us more closed people. We would rather spend time on our phones while with other people instead of seeing what’s in front of us.
‘Simplicity’ is, just as the title implies, a striving towards love with no stupid problems. Just easy, simple love that you can feel from the beginning and evolves perfectly over time.
This poem is about showing one thing, but the reality being completely different.
